That would be me.

Heaven is currently outside of a Tully's coffee shop on 1st & Virginia St., stealing their free wifi.

She is outside because the shop doesn't open until 7...

...but actually doesn't want to go inside and purchase anything because there will be free coffee at the work meeting.

Yes, work meeting. 7:30 to 10. Hopefully breakfast is provided because Heaven hasn't eaten anything.

gastrotypographicalassemblage

I came across this mini article about the art director for CBS, Lou Dorfsman. Apparently, he has an exhibition going on in London, which features a scaled down model of his (apparently famous) wall design for the CBS lunchroom.

Here's Lou in front of the original version at CBS. What a cheerful looking guy!

I love this! The study of typography is interesting. These words seem to communicate their meaning...I'm not sure how, but the placement, size and style of font just seems appropriate. If I ate in the CBS cafeteria, I would never get bored studying this giant wall of words.

Here's the small scale version for the museum. (Look at the kind of circular part...it says doughnut!)

exhausted

Emotionally, physically, mentally, exhausted...

moving, even up 2 floors, is very difficult.

update:

Furnature moved, many items are in place, and I am winding down to cookies and cocoa. Memories of Mexico and friends brought to me by Arrested Development on Netflix. Here's to a good ending to a junky day.

Let's get down to business...

...to clean, my houuuuse.

Today I must clean and pack up everything in my apartment, so I can move up two floors by tomorrow afternoon. I will be live blogging this not at all exciting event as the day progresses. Dang it. Whatever happened to this being an art blog? Bad Heaven.

12:23 pm / Current Song: Lovegame by Lady Gaga

I'm taking down all of my wall decorations. Photos, polaroids, frames and posters must all come down. Here are a couple of my favorite corners:

2:32 / Current Song: Whatcha Waiting For by Gwen Stefani

I love this song. Smart people know that Gwen Stefani is my default choice of music on my iPod. Anyway, after taking down all of my wall adornments (which took quite a while), and packing away some of my dishes, I decided to pack up my shoes. I decided to throw away my trusty navy Keds, which are very worn.

Bye, Keds. :-(

4:25 / Current Song: None, I turned off Pandora and turned on Jersey Shore. Don't hate.

I've been floating through states of tiredness and motivation. Lunch consisted of saltine crackers + peanut butter & jelly, and soymilk. It provided a temporary energy boost, but I have to admit, I've been checking facebook chat entirely too often.

View from my spot on the couch.

One thing I definitely accomplished is emptying out my bookshelf. I have loved occupying this bookshelf! All of my books, DVDs, and art supplies fit perfectly, plus some picture frames on top.

New Shampoo Suckaaaz

What up fools? Just wanted to do a quick blog post/lush review, because I can, because Caroline is lending me her brother's computer! Woo! Sadly, Megan's computer is having some issues, so until I can get those resolved I'll be using Caroline's brother's computer. Which is perfectly fine by me! Thank you Caroline!

Anyway, the other day I had a wonderful time introducing my friends Elyse and Annie to MAC cosmetics. We really enjoyed getting makeup tutorials (and free makeovers) via the wonderfully sweet people at the MAC counter. I got a tutorial on how to pull off brightly colored lipstick and still have it flatter my lips, and walked away with a bright coral smile.

After that fun, Annie and I visited Lush, which was awkward for me because both of my former managers were there, but good for me also because I picked up a new shampoo. This shampoo bar is called Karma Komba.

I mentioned before that I positively love Lush's solid shampoos. They clean my hair amazingly well, last forever, and smell great. This bar is no different. It is scented with Lush's Karma scent, which is a cult favorite among customers. That said, some people really do not like the patchouli scent of Karma. If you are one of these people, then stay away. The shampoo bar does not overly perfume hair, but it does smell like Karma...so beware. Anyway, like always, when using this shampoo, it lathers beautifully, smells great (but not too overpowering), and leaves my hair shiny and managable! Additionally, it gives my limp-ish hair some good volume without too much work. Genius.

Orange and lemon oils within the shampoo cleanse hair and add shine, and the company website notes that this shampoo helps detangle, which implies that it has a light conditioning ingredient. Sounds good to me.

Anyway, I give it a gold star! This shampoo makes showers fun again, and actually has me looking forward to washing out my daily hairstyle.

P.S. P.S. P.S. Guess what, I just started a tumblr. It is in the beginning stages right now, but I think if I can get it going, it will be a fun little project. Visit, please!

Computer woes

This blog is being sent from my gmail account, because the computer
I'm using is somewhat outdated, and incompatible with blogger.

The lovely Megan, (formerly of Caroline's coffee and purveyor of free
soy chais) gave me her old iBook G4! She also gave me a new version of
OSX Snow Leopard, but I can't install it because the computer has
password protection. Until I can install the new OS, I can't download
the newest browsers, software updates, etc.

Luckilly, I have an appointment with Apple's Genius Bar today at
11:30! Hopefully they can help out. Then I'll be back to blogging.

Aeropuerto

I will be at the airport in less than an hour! Going home to see my family, mourn my aunt, and peek in on some friends. It'll be a short visit, but I'm still super appreciative.

So, just FYI, I won't be blogging from the airport. :(

Not sure how pointless this post is.
